The video content of this upload was taken on my recent visit to the Orkney Islands north of Scotland, a magical place full of Neolithic Stone Circles and burial sites.

I'd never heard of Clootie Wells before. An interesting superstition.

A Cloot is a piece of your clothing, an old Scottish saying tells us "Ner cast a Cloot afore May is oot"

Clootie Wells can be found in the Celtic regions of the UK. namely Scotland, Ireland and Wales, whereas England is Anglo Saxon in origin.
