Hello my name is Steve Black and I am curious is it hard to convert this guitar to an Emmons setup since it is a carbon fiber body? |

Steven I haven’t changed anything on it but it doesn’t look all that hard when I called MSA they told me around 200 dollars to change it over this is the best steel I have ever played I’m only selling it to purchase a mint green burst emmons push pull but I’m not sure I’m making the right decision |

To answer Steven Black's question, I've owned two Millies, and changing copedent around is pretty simple - same as any modern all-pull guitar - the only "issue" might be if extra pull rods are needed somewhere (like a Franklin on pedal 0 - that requires 3 pull rods the longest length - if it's Emmons or Day, it will only have two pull rods for the pedal closest to the keyhead. But this is the same with any brand of steel.
Also, if you want to add pedals/levers, it gets more complicated - evidently you can not just pop a new cross shaft into position - so that becomes a bigger job. I am a little surprised, seeing how advanced this guitar is in most ways, that they did not figure out a way to add or remove individual cross-shafts. My '84 Zum allowed for that - so hardly cutting-edge thinking 20 years later.
If I win the lottery before this guitar sells, I will buy it (don't hold your breath)! _________________ Bringing steel guitar to the bukid of Negros Oriental! |

Thank you Douglas for the information. I’ve been trying to win that lottery myself with no luck |

I regret selling Mark Greenway's M3 also! But I had two, and was unemployed and poor thanks to Hurricane Irma-geddon blowing my job away. I would have bought Bryon's if I could justify the expense, but I'm now retired - early, again, thanks to Hurricane Irma - which means I am now permanently poor! But I still have my Black M2. And it's really all I need. Great guitars! _________________ Bringing steel guitar to the bukid of Negros Oriental! |
