I’m hoping to get some serial numbers of known 66/67 Gibson Centuries (six-string lap, final version with mini humbucker). Would be cool to compile a list of some confirmed ones.
As a starting point, I can confirm:
007333 (shown in the book Gibson Electric Steel Guitars: 1935-1967)
007435 (I saw listed for sale on Reverb, assuming was listed correctly) |

Another one:
007342 (I saw in an old eBay listing; some details on this one, per the eBay listing: pot codes: 1376640; Gibson confirmed a shipping date of 3-31-1967) |

Does anyone know whether the red mahogany '66-'67 Centuries have the same bridge as the scarce blonde mahogany '57-'58 Ultratones equipped with Gibson's new humbucking pickup?
Due to the installation of the standard Spanish guitar humbucker, the '57 & '58 Ultratone bridges are spaced considerably tighter than the bridges from earlier instruments with wide-oval and P-90 lap steel pickups.
The bridge on my '57 (s/n 7 6452) has a spacing of approximately 1-31/32" between strings 1 and 6. Most of the earlier models are spaced about 2-11/32" apart. |

Very good question, Jack.
Although I believe the string spacing might be similar or even the same, the bridge itself on the 66/67 Century is a different design than the 57/58 PAF Ultratone. |

This is a '57:
I've never seen a photo of a '66-'67 without its bridge cover. |
