Ok, its only $499,000 and includes the original 1934 amp.
I realize its extremely rare...I could understand $25k for the guitar and $10k for the amp..am I missing something? search for rickenbacker tenor.

The back of the head stock is all boogered up. That drops the value by about $498,000 dollars...

Well, it is ebay after all.
I'm going to put up my '44 Electromuse with an intact lucite fretboard for only $125,000.
All original except for both pots, pickup, nut and the Switchcraft jack.
The bidding should be intense.

Laughing I was worried it was someone listing it from The Forum, and I was going to get yelled at. I don't think I've ever seen a picture of someone playing a 4-string tenor guitar. Where they popular? What would the tuning be on something like that.

If I'm not mistaken, they were tuned like a 4 string banjo and banjo players doubled on them.

For decades the late Ken Trietsch played tenor guitar in the Hoosier Hot Shots (one of my all-time favorite bands):
