Blackie is retiring and has, among several others, 2 pedal steels for sale(pics below). One is a new black mica D10 Star w 8/5 and the other is a ShoBud ProIII w 8/4. Please contact Sherri Taylor-Kennedy (Blackie's daughter)slkennedy01@gmail.com for more information. Thanks.

Oh No, I stopped by a couple times in the last year and he wasn't around. Haven't seen him at the VFW either. Many year ago he told me I could find him on the Riverside Zoo circuit: Eagles/Elks/Moose/Lions-I hope all is well.

Blackie is retiring and he asked that I come up and take a look at what he has left.

I stopped by yesterday and seen Blackie. He is having problems hearing and can't hear the messages on his answering machine but he does answer the phone when he is in. He is getting up there but we had a good talk.

My first meet and greet with a pedal steel was with Blackie and at his shop up in Riverside. I took a lesson from him back in the early 2000's.

I have my lesson with him on Hi-8 video tape.

Ah Blackie, good man! Saw him at SWSGA show couple of times. We go back to the early 70's when he had his shop in Hawaiian Gardens, Ca. Turned me on to Jerry Stevens who I took lessons from. Also gave me a new steel and amp when the previous equipment I bought from him got stolen and let me pay it off by the month.
