Well here's where it was recorded in these sessions around 1974-75 time and certainly sounds like Hal; but Russ Hicks can certainly play that style>

"ca 1974 Cabin Studio, Nashville, TN – Red Johnson (Red Johnson [vcl], Jim Colvard [el gt], Wayne Moss [el gt], Bobby Thompson [banjo], Hal Rugg/ Russ Hicks [steel], Bobby Dyson/ Joe Allen/ Terry Deadmore [bass], Kenny Malone/ Mark Morris. Si Edwards [drums], Marjorie Cates/ Buddy Spicher/ Johnny Gimble [fiddle], Charlie McCoy [harmonica], Ron Oates/ Tony Magliori/ Warren Hartman [keyoards], Bergen White, Laverne Moore, Dorothy DeLeonibus [bck vcl]. Producer: Jim Colvard)"
