Here is the great Jeff Newman at the Southern Steel Guitar Convention in Saluda, SC.
Whenever we were on the same show, Jeff would choose me to play bass (I have no idea why), except we were friends and he SAID he loved my steel and bass playing. Ugh.
Anyway this was a fun day and watch till the end. A little surprise there.
Sound is just from a camcorder.

Jeff relays funny story regarding Larry Sasser on Broadway during their very early days in Nashville.
Thanks for posting Bill.

Jeff Newman was one of the most underrated players and definitely the best teacher. |

Paul, you surely spoke the truth. We Steelers are very guarded about throwing out the word “genius†in regards to the prominent steel players out there; but the word fits Jeff Newman just as comfortable as it does to other greats. |
