Although Hank is closely associated with Emmy's biggest records from the '70s it's always my friend Steve Fishell's name that springs to mind when her name is mentioned.

I had the honour of touring alongside them in the late-'80s.

I played with Emmylou in 1983 on three programmes on the Thats Country TV show here in New Zealand -- Does that count ??? hehe ..... she was a wonderfully talented and gracious lady and it was a real thrill to work with her. I was very fortunate to be in the house band on this great TV show for about 5 years until it finished up.

Right before they formed The Hot Band she had Danny Pendleton as a pedal steel player.
