| Quilter Steelaire for the last few years, I like it more all the time. I still have a Session 400 and a '69 drip-edge Twin Reverb, and either of those work for me also. |

Peavey NV-112 with a good external digital reverb. Not much love for the internal reverb, but that is outweighed by Peavey's committment to service.

It’s gotta be my Victoria 20112, a boutique clone of the Fender 57 Tweed Deluxe.
Although for venues where on stage gear may not receive appropriate respect, my Laney LC15r comes out to play. And for quieter at-home practice my Bugera v5 with 10†speaker upgrade is very nice.

Wow it would be hard to draw a conclusion from all the different kinds of amps.
I know the high dollar amps are out of league I guess if they really made a big difference
I would try and find a used one. I’ve been to tons of steel guitar shows that all the pros just used the house peavy set up. An believe me the sound was great . The St. Louis show was all peavey I’m thinking |

Thought about this a lot and wonder if time and place have anything to do with my opinion. I would say a Session 400 with a installed mod would be my favorite. However if I had it back now and compared with what I now use maybe it is just fond memory  |

| I love my 68 Fender bassman thru a Tommy Huff cab using a jbl 130. I have not got my Session 400 back from my keyboard player who is using it in practice, but it's a great solid state reliable amp and I get to hear it all the time! |

Quilter Steelaire, hands down.
GFI D-10 Ultra with Lace p/u's; Hilton volume pedal. Sometimes use a Steelaire head with two Telonics 12" cabs, or one 15" TT/Eminence in a Peavey cab. All that I will ever need. (But, I've told myself that before.)

I have owned several amps, but my best sounding steel amp was an Evans FET500LV. I also loved the sound of a Fender Steel King and a Roland JC120. But I now have the Evans SE200 with a Telonics extension speaker. I love the quality sound it gives. Other great ones was the Quilter Steelaire and the Fender Twin Reverb '65 Custom 15, and the Peavey Vegas 400. Top choice: Evans.

besides my standards..Nashville 400, Vegas 400, and Nashville 112..I like the sound of my Fender super champ X2 which is a tube amp and I haven't even started messing with the goodies it has yet!! Also like the sound of my Quilter Interblock 45 going through a eminence cannabus rex speaker cabinet..fantastic amp at about 2 lbs and the size of a average pedal.

When I think of PSG I normally hear Peaveys used for steel.
Although I have several and my Dual Showman through a Fender 15" speaker is supposed to be the steel amp, I don't have a Nashville or Session, I do have an old Peavey KB300. 
!980's Peavey KB300 with a fifteen and a horn.

Hey Godfrey...I've got a kb300 also and It does not sound bad..take the treble off so it does not go tru the horn and it holds its own with the good spring reverb!! Man you cannot beat a KB300 for a road workhorse..plenty of power and 3 full channels to boot..every band needs one for a backup goto amp IMHO

Derrick, yes absolutely a work around on this amp, rather than boost the highs, we're attenuating. 
My KB300 has been around the world, on the beach, on planes and it still sounds fine.
Peavey built their amps tough!
