Hello,

Has anyone tried one of these:

Very pricy, but also very interesting. The separate output of the two pickups is a nice feature!

Yes, very pricey - I have played one.

A few years ago we had a non-pedal steel gathering in the Bay Area at Gryphon Stringed Instruments which was put together by Larry Chung. The guest of honor was Bobby Black. Todd and Shelly Clinesmith received many "thumbs up" for making the long drive down from Oregon with some of their wonderful instruments.

Scott Walker made the much shorter drive from Santa Cruz with his Horizon steel. I loved it! But my credit card wasn't "big" enough to be able to take it home with me. Not to mention that if I did my wife would likely have thrown all my stuff out on the front lawn and then had all the locks changed on the doors.
