I want to try using the following and am not sure of the pecking order.
Steel guitar
Strobostomp tuner
Volume pedal
Black box
DD-3 Delay.
Amp.
Thank you for your advice.

Strobostomp then black box, volume pedal, dd3, amp. That's how I would use it.

Does your VP have a tuner out?

If not
Steel -> black box -> tuner -> vp -> dd-3 -> amp

If the vp has a tuner out
Steel -> black box -> vp -> dd-3 -> amp

If your amp has an effects loop put the dd 3 in the loop.

I have been using
1. Bo-Bro dobro simulator
2. Keeley Compressor (makes the simulator sound great)
3. Caverns reverb
4. Tuner is built into my volume pedal
5. Quilter 202 amp

I used to run the compressor last, My thinking on this was:
When the studio adds compression it is last on the recording.
However, I will note, a small amount is used.
Any comments are appreciated.
