interesting. Skunk is one of the coolest dudes on the planet...although with that mustache I'm not sure what sitting across from him when he's drinking coffee or beer would be like Smile

I see some used ones on Reverb, some listed quite a while, but it looks like they do contain the "tone tube"??? Wonder if that 30 watts would be 30 SS watts,,,or 30 tube watts?

Not sure if the 30watt models are capable, I believe for Steel you would need the 80watt Artist model.and the extra Clean Tube.
Only downside is the Artist is priced around £750 and the tone tube another £146 . The amp itself has a socket for adding whatever tone tube suits , i.e. there’s a Eric Johnson and Robben Ford tube that would be for guitarists.

Most of my playing is done in my music room,,,my Katana is on .5 watts and will blow you out of the room.

From what I gather, a specific tube is used for specific applications. Would be interested to hear from other steel players as to opinions??? If,,IF it really does have a tube sound,,,then yes,,,it would be the Holy Grail.

Sonny , I don’t think you are able to fit the tone capsules in the smaller amps i.e. Blues Cube Hot , only the larger models🤔

Roland's website only lists the four Blues Cube Artist model amps as compatible.
