Beautiful work, Michael. Can you describe how walnut sounds in comparison to Koa? I know that’s a bit of a subjective question....

Compared to some traditional weissenborns, that body looks purty deep
Just saying

Thank you.

Billy,
I can make a deep or deeper body. This one is 3 3/4" deep at the tail end.

Tony,
I've never worked with Koa, though I would like to, I've read that it is comparable to black walnut as far as density goes. I guess I would say it has a 'warm' sound, probably similar to other hardwood topped guitars.

Not only is this guitar beautiful it sounds beautiful as well.

I was able to see and play it last week, like Michael says it has a warm sound.

I played it acoustic and plugged in to an amp and was very impressed that it did not want to feedback when playing with the amp. My cheapo shallow body Aiersi wants to feedback within a few feet of an amp, this beauty did not do that and I was facing the amp an arms length away.

Okay, I managed to figure how record and post a sound clip.
Please note: I'm not much of a steel player, fair warning!

Hi Michael,
It's sounds alright and looks great.
I'm also a luthier who don't play as well as I build. Laughing
Still think it's a fine looking instrument at a great price.
Someone will be thrilled to get it.
Best wishes,
Andy Very Happy

Sold.
It ended up selling on Reverb, but I'll still send a check to the forum. I sincerely appreciate the forum to have a place to post my thing and of course all the information so freely given.
Thank you.
