This off steel topics but I watched a documentary on the Chicks and wondered are they still together and touring.

Len, you probably should have started this thread in "Music."

I don't think they are touring currently, but my wife and I saw them in concert about 2 1/2 years ago.

I read something awhile back that they were in the studio, so maybe a new album is forthcoming in the not so distant future.

Thanks for the info. In the program their careers really took a beating and I was wondering if things had rebounded for them.

My pal Justin Weaver plays with them. They had a huge tour a couple of years ago that was one of the highest grossing tours that year, so rebounded is a good word. They are playing much lately but you never know.

That's the tour I was referring to in my earlier post John.

The only bad thing about it was that it took place at a Bay Area venue I really despise - Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View. Down the street from Google headquarters. Takes forever to get in and out of there and the parking was 40 bucks!

My wife and I decided "never again." This time I think we really mean it!

But it was a fine show. We'd seen them also during the 2006 tour at Oracle Arena in Oakland.

No clue what Justin has told you John, but I spoke to guitarist Keith Sewell one time after a bluegrass gig here in California. He said the Chicks are great to work for. Nothing but high praise for them.
