Hello, wondering if anybody knows any steel players in the Birmingham, AL area that would be willing to give the occasional lesson and/or play with someone who isn’t a pro (AKA me).
I’ve been searching but haven’t had any real leads around here.
Thanks! |

Bob Simmons is nearby. He builds Simmons Steel Guitars. I think he is in Trafford, AL. _________________ ________________

Bob is a great guy! I've known him for long time & he's knowledgeable man! There aren't many steel players around Birmingham. I think I know most of them; maybe a dozen.
What style of music do you want to learn, or are you looking for orientation with the pockets? E9th &/or C6th? Emmons, or Day setup?
Contact Bob for sure! If I an help, I'll be glad to. Jeremy Drawbaugh (sp?) is in Scottsboro the last I knew. He's a fine player on both necks. |
