I had this amp checked out when I bought it over a year ago, and have only had it turned on once since I got the Twin. Now, after maybe 7 or 8 hrs of use, the reverb cuts in and out as I try to practice. Has anyone ever had this experience with a Peavey? I've never run into this with a tube amp (it either works or it doesn't). I really want to use this as a practice amp around the house because I don't like cutting the Twin on and off all day. Solid states take that sort of thing, and simply being left on better don't they? |

Check the plastic molex plug. The pins loosen up and cause problems. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, NV400, NV112 . Playing for 54 years and still counting. |

Sounds like the pot may be dirty. Get you a can of Deoxit and remove the amp from the cabinet and spray all pots good and work them back and forth good. If that doesn't do it, remove the reverb tank and see if there are any broken springs. While you're at it, clean the RCA jacks good. Also check the connector on the reverb tank harness. _________________ Rittenberry Prestige(2) |

Peavey Electronics has not manufactured the Nashville 400 since 1999, so your amplifier just may need some TLC like Mr. Foreman recommended.
When any product is not used for while it is good to service it periodically just to make sure that it will work properly when you need it to work.
I recommend at least to spray all jacks and pots with Peavey Funk. Here is a link and you can purchase it from the Peavey factory parts department or through any Peavey dealer. Outhttps://peavey.com/products/index.cfm/item/904/72029 |

Pardon me for butting in, but I believe somehow Mike's text got mis-wrapped rendering the link dead. See the link highlighted in this modified quote for the path to the Peavey Funk Out product...and it's good stuff too. |

Thanks to all. I figure it's nothing serious. I'll try these things and see what happens. |
