One of the more interesting phenomenas for me, is how each instrument responds to different tunings.

Example. I have my eharp in eharp tuning and I just bought a Cougar 10 string non pedal. I put the eharp tuning on the Cougar, and it just didn't sound good, certainly not as a wonderful as it does on an eharp.

So I took the strings off and put Tom Morrells tuning on it, and voila it sounds great.

I'm convinced that each steel has a tuning that brings out the magic.
