When I got my first Carter set up for Emmons VP the pedal hit the floor before full volume. I had to have a 1/2" gap btw the tip and pedal bar. First I replaced the tightening screws with 1/4" hardware, but when this wasn't enough I added 5/8" hose clamps under the pedal bar ! |

Here I am asking a question after this thread was first posted in January. However the pedal rack just started to slip on my Mullen recently. In reading all the reply's and fix's I am wondering if I have been placing the rack on the leg wrong thus causing the problem.
Looking at Gary Cosden's pictures 1,2,3 are they correct regarding the position of the rack on the leg. _________________ Mullen SD10, Sho~Bud SD10 LDG, Show-Pro SD10 LDG, Peavey Nashville 112, Boss Katana 100 MK11, Telonic's F100 Multi-Taper Super Pro V/P, |

Y'all are overthinking this. The rack slides up on all my steels; only does this on the very first pedal change, then no more after that. It is a non-issue. And, it doesn't affect the tuning. _________________ A couple D-10s,some vintage guitars & amps, & lotsa junk in the gig bag. |

On my next set up I paid particular attention to the position of the pedal rack on the leg and I go along with Gary Cosden's pictures. No slipping was encountered. Thus I was doing it wrong a few times before by not paying attention. To me it makes a difference on the pedal's feel during a roll etc.
So again thanks to the forum members for their insight on the issue. _________________ Mullen SD10, Sho~Bud SD10 LDG, Show-Pro SD10 LDG, Peavey Nashville 112, Boss Katana 100 MK11, Telonic's F100 Multi-Taper Super Pro V/P, |
