Pickup post

Due to a recent about an emmons pickup with white around the post, I looked at min and noticed something kinda similar. I noticed a almost glue like substance on one side of the pole, but on 2 of the poles it was cracked out. Is this normal and okay? As far as I know it has original emmons pu's

Notice the 4th and 9th poles
