I am giving my second Triadic Mechanics webinar on Dec. 7. I’m really psyched about teaching this material because I think it is a big step forward for anyone interested in exploring improvisation at any level and on almost every tuning. The really cool part is how easily this is transferrable between octaves and tunings, and its possibilities are wide open for your own exploration.

After registering, 48-72 hours before the webinar you’ll receive a 30+ page booklet which serves as an outline for the course. Anyone unable to attend the webinar in real time can watch or download a recording within a few days.

I got a lot great feedback on my first webinar, so I think I’m on the right track here.

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

Hope to see you!

I’ll post a few different examples of improvising using this concept in different tunings.
Here is a ‘bass’ solo in my extended C13 tuning over Bb blues changes.

Last call for registration.

You’ll be surprised how easily you can change from one tuning to another and be able to improvise up and down the neck once you get this under your fingers (bar). I’ll demonstrate this using several tunings and guitars.

I’ll be hosting new webinars every few months, different topics.

Thanks, Ulrich!

I have three slots open for this. There is a lifetime of material here.

Here is some noodling with open voiced triad scales in root position, a la Eric Johnson.

Thank you, gentlemen! It was a pleasure and I know how tough it must be to listen to me talk for two hours. I tried my best not to ramble too much.

Plus one here! Although I am fairly new to steel and to music in general, I got a LOT out of this webinar. I agree with Paul that, at least for me, probably years of information to digest and apply with tons of practice. Mike's approach via triads makes what he conveys easily transferrable to other tunings, too. Bravo to Mike!!
