Donna,

My name is Tom Alexander from Anchorage, Alaska. I am a member of the forum, but not a player, so I didn't feel right about posting anything as serious as a member passing. However, it has come to my attention that an Alaskan member, Tommy VanLandingham had passed back in April and I have not seen any posts memorializing him. He was a very good life long friend of Nestor Eaton, band member and best friend of the legendary Wayne Gailey, and currently working with the great John Conlee in Nashville. I am not sure of exact date of Tommy's passing in April, but I thought his passing should be announced in "Gone Home" by a veteran Steel player or member. Thanks in this matter.

Tom Alexander

Thank you Donna! Tommy VanLandingham passed on April 4 in Anchorage and is missed by many. Also to clarify, Tommy and Nestor Eaton were life long friends. Nestor Eaton is currently working in Nashville with John Conlee and other projects, and was legendary steeler Wayne Gailey's best friend and long time band mate.

Tommy definitely produced that video. Not sure who the steeler is in that montage.....here is the picture from his obituary in the Anchorage Daily News.
