That's nice, how do you create/play the backing tracks? |

The backing track for Blue Suede Shoes was created in BIAB (Band in a Box) software. For most of my tracks I usually start out with a drum machine and lay down some chords with a piano or guitar, then add bass, electric guitar and some extras if needed like: Synth Strings, Ukulele, banjo, and sometimes background vocals.
I use a Fostex 24track Hard disk recorder, but most of the time I only need 8 tracks for a pretty full sound.
From BIAB or Multitrack I mix all the parts and use my computer to make an MP3 file and play them back on my Zune Mp3 player.

I love your posts Dom and I'm also impressed with your backing tracks. You have a nice little studio setup there.

Keith thanks for the kind words. The studio is my happy place...
Once upon a time there was a thing called Digital Audio Tape. I used two 8 track ADATs synced together to record My Backing tracks and mixed down to Cassettes or CD's I also recorded album projects for Beaverton High School and Local church groups. _________________ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYG9cvwCPKuXpGofziPNieA/feed?activity_view=3 |
