Buddy played a Hilt which was a highly modified and upgraded Dekley built by Larry Hilt. While it was slightly similar to the H&S (Hilt & Smith) Custom Signature, Larry added a lot of his own design ideas to the Hilt.
I left the company in November, 1980 and from my recollection Larry finished the guitar and Buddy started it around the same time or slightly thereafter. |

That guitar spent about 10 tears in limbo after it was stolen-turned up on ebay and was retrieved by the police. I have some pics somewhere of Buddy getting it returned to him.
