That is a long way off, but there is plenty of steel in and around this town. Keep an eye on these fine honky tonks: The Broken Spoke, The White Horse, Little Longhorn Saloon, and The Cotton Club in Granger, TX. The Cotton Club has a fine band playing Sundays where Steve Palousek is the steel player.
And Steel Guitar Monday’s, at Sam’s Town Point. It is a steel guitar focused show with different players each week. A steel guitar residency. https://samstownpointatx.com/shows
I often play happy hour at The Carousel Lounge each Wednesday.
