Steve has been playing a Rittenberry D-10 the last few years I've seen him. Don't know about the rest of his setup.

I'm pretty sure Steve is using a Stereo Steel, I'm not sure about the power amp, and he uses an M-One TC Electronics effects. If I remember right, he has a pair of speaker cabinets with with older 15 inch JBL speakers.

I figure Dean is probably pretty close. I have a friend that will know. I’ll try to find out. I know he tryed a Sarno V8 with an extra tone control for a while. I think Steve uses a little stereo chorus nearly all the time. That’s kinda what I hear that makes his sound different.

My friend says Deans list is probably right & that it’s probably the Stereo Steel with built in power amp.

Last year when I talked to Steve’s wife (very nice lady btw!) to purchase some of his videos, I asked about what he was using for an amp. She said a Stereo Steel.

Steve was also using a modified Sarno V8 Preamp at one point in his rack - not sure if that is still the case !

He plays next door at the Cotton Club every Sunday. He’s been using the guitar that Herb described and a stereo steel with one cabinet. There’s some kind of rack deal for effects too. I think an M-one. He also still occasionally uses a memory man for his trademark delay.
He played a borrowed P/P the other night and said he really missed the tone. As long as I’ve known him he has played Emmons equipment until the last few years. The funny thing is he is indifferent about a LeGrande/P/P. He likes the tone of the P/P but the splits of the LeGrande.
