It's interesting seeing photos of pedal steel guitars with attachments and accessories hanging from cabinets, legs, tuner shafts, output jacks, etc. I've seen music stands, ash trays, drink holders, tuners, bar & pick holders, stomp boxes, I-Pads, tablets, rabbits feet, Beany Babies -- seemingly everything except a kitchen sink.
Please post pix of your rig, showing your favorite attachments.
I have a surplus Dunlop 1" x 3-3/4" 11.2 ounce bullet bar that I will award for what I deem the most interesting setup. Best photo posted before Black Friday will receive the tone bar.

MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, as well as some older MSAs, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Recently added a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored blue Rose, named the "Blue Bird" to the herd. Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic again that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also added a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks. |

Nothing on mine! But, I once had a player ask me how his (newly purchased) steel looked. Of course, he had a Steel Driver mounted on one leg, an IPhone on another, a music stand mounted in front, a bar holder mounted between the two right legs, a tuner between the necks, and a purple Crown Royal bag hanging from the keyhead. Therefore, when he asked what I thought of the looks of his new "axe", I told him (with a small measure of satire)..."What does it matter? You have so much $#!& hanging on the damn thing, nobody can see it, anyway!"
And somehow, I think he took umbrage with that remark.  |

Thanks Chris & Irv I made a clamp a little like the one for a Peterson Tuner every thing is velcroid to Lexan and I have a hinge underneath so I can tilt it at different angles if I need to. Works really great weight about 4 1/2 to 5 Lbs. without speaker. Also keeps my 63 year old body from twisting around backwards to get that just right sound.

| I go thru phases~from minimalistic to "it's a tumor!". I recall back in my college days playing folk songs on acoustic guitars sitting in a circle emphatically ridiculing the electric guitar players for carrying all the crap that they would carry to gigs saying that they would never see me doing that. Never say never. |

- iPad, just to quickly download tab off the forum if singer calls out a song I don't know...or watch netflix if he calls out a song I don't like
- cup holder, good to keep a beer handy in case you need to bust a bottle over someone's head, whether it's someone who just ran up on stage or someone who's been there all night
- tuner, I use it once a month whether I need it or not, plus the lights look cool
- small shelf for bar and picks, and this is also where I put the phone numbers of the ladies that hit on me at gigs
- ashtray...I don't smoke but I plan on taking it up soon, also good overflow spot for the phone numbers (kind of like a swipe right, swipe left thing)
- LED gooseneck lamp...I don't need it, it just looks cool turned on between sets, plus I do use it to read those phone numbers, don't wanna send provocative pics of myself to the wrong number again
- car keys (always good to know where they are, especially if you need to leave in a hurry)
- towel rack, sometimes I really sweat a lot
- brass knuckles (that's a story for another thread) |
