Seems like all 'cableheads' like to see different approaches to adding
knee levers, so, fwiw, here're three I added to a Four-Hundred . .
. . with thanks to Bruce & Doug for several Zum & Encore parts!

Very nice solution!!! How do they feel when playing? Are the parts off the shelf, or did you fab them up yourself???

Very cool and appears to be lightweight. I have some extra Carter Starter parts that might be good for doing a Fender....hmmm.

Again, very impressive.

In 1970 Sho-Bud made a knee lever kit for my Fender 2000. I don't remember the particulars, except it was a "RKL", and no pictures. But I used the cable from the 10th pedal for the knee lever. It was the Sho-Bud lower 2nd string and lower 8th string.

Duct tape??? This was a classy operation! I used black electrical tape to cover the open ends of the wires Laughing

I added 6 levers to an 800 ten string including an outside RKL and a vertical. Apart from a few bicycle brake parts and the 2 central reversing pulleys for RKR and outside RKL, I used all stock Fender cable and pulley parts I scrounged off of Fender players who had spare parts (that mission took a while). I made all the mechanisms, stops and reversing doo-dads by hand out of 6061-T6 with a hacksaw, hand tools and a drill press. It all works pretty good and sounds like a Stringmaster. I got as close to my 12 string E9/B6 as I could with 10 strings, 6+6 and a double raise/double lower changer.
The levers all folded up across the guitar.

The RKL has a 2nd string half-stop raise (C#>D>D#) and the reversal mechanism uses a roller bearing riding on a curved counterpart so it's real smooth and has a real positive halfway click to it.

Then I added two of Jason Lollar's 10 string Stringmaster pickups and had Chas Smith cut me the plate parts to mount them and still look kinda stock. I have one volume control and a pickup blend knob. I took the rubber mute thang off 'cause it's useless.

After all that work I had to sell it to pay medical bills after my insurance was cancelled because I had cancer.
