Thanks guys, it’s really beautiful and plays and sounds great. I love the straight peg “fender†style neck...so much easier to tune while standing.
I wonder why other square necks aren’t made this way? _________________ Sierra S10 (three!), Peavey 112 and 115, Benoit dobro, Beard Model E dobro, Beard Roadophonic, MSA Superslide, Dean Nickless custom dobro |

It's probably due to aesthetics? My personal opinion is such.....
Pros.......much easier to tune.
Cons.......added length, not the norm as in it's not a Fender electric guitar, and not generally seen on a Dobro. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder......if you like it, that is all that counts. Not everybody likes chocolate ice cream.....that's why they make vanilla. _________________ Currently own, 6 Groner-tone lap steels, one 1953 Alamo Lap steel, Roland Cube, Fender Champion 40 |

Nice, I did a 6 on a side about ten years ago and the customer really likes it. He had an extra big D28 case that fit the headstock okay. We just added extra padding around the body. _________________ 1958 D8 Stringmaster, 1958 T8 Stringmaster, 1955 Q8 Stringmaster (in basket), 1949 Gibson BR9, 1953 Silvertone, 1957 Harmony H4 (yeah the cool black pearloid one), 1947 National Princess, 1969 Shobud S10 3X1 |
