Russ Wever was on the staff of the International Steel Guitar Convention for almost it's entire life. Russ also worked some at Scotty's music.
Russ still plays regularly and is a GREAT player and a dear friend.
Enjoy this complete set from the 1995 ISGC.

Thanks for that one, Bill! Russ is one of the most underrated players of his generation. A complete musician on steel guitar. Country, pop, jazz, you name it and Russ delivers it, spot-on. _________________ www.JimCohen.com

I agree with all the above statements and then some. I watched Russ play bass at the convention for years not knowing he played steel. I now wish had taken lessons from Russ when he worked for Scotty. I have since seen him play a few shows and was stunned by his ability. Live and learn. Thanks for posting Bill. |

I couldn't agree more! I'm having to fill in for Russ here in Overland Park, KS while he's otherwuse engaged - it's a tall order!!!
He's a great player and a credit to our community as a human being. Thanks for all your help, Russ.
Is that the same Zum you're playing now? _________________ Roger Rettig - Emmons D10s, Quilter TT-12, B-bender Teles and old Martins.
