I thought some of you might enjoy hearing the new guitar.

This is a live stream video from my FB page of a four piece band I sub with on occasion. I had just received my new MSA SD10 5X4 with a 705 pup. The amp is a Quilter Steelaire Combo.

The Ipad was just a few feet away from my amp.

P.S. I know many of you don't do FB but that's where I live stream to.

Comes right up for me Dicky.. Sounds good, I'm still digging my Quilter, it seems to get better all the time.

I noticed that you have band guys smoking on stage? wow, that brings back memories of the 'good ol days'.. LOL. DFW has the non-smoking ordinance right? Or not? There's a place here near Austin that's just outside the city limits, and they allow smoking.. I had forgotten how miserable that can be for a non-smoker.

There are a few places where you can smoke so most of the time I'm not bothered by it.I used to play a club south of Fort Worth called the Western place. You may have worked there before but you can literally walk in and out to get your guitar with no one there yet and smell like crap.

As for the Video working, it may be that if you're not on my friends list,it may not play. It's set for public so I thought anyone could view it.

You're too kind Dale and I appreciate your compliments.

I am lovin this guitar very much.

BTW-It had been raining really hard but died down to a light mist and it was blowing in that screened in porch all over the guitar. I was pissed.

Bill, I have had the Quilter for about three years and for the most part I have really liked it but I noticed an odd midrange frequency that would pop out when I played my Williams. I don't hear it anymore on the MSA. I'm kinda thinking it may be something to do with the 710's on the Williams. The MSA has 705's which are just super pups.

Thanks Dick for those kind words. Hopefully early next year you come to one of the jams I have been putting together. We would love to have you.

Paul, I have thought about coming to one of the jams but two things hold me back.

The first is I'm not an instrumental player. I've played the nightclub scene for 38 years and the only instrumental I ever played was Steel Guitar Rag so all my background is in learning pieces of songs and throwing them in where needed.

Second is that I'm ok playing in front of a few hundred to a few thousand people but a room full of steel guitarist makes me nervous so I tend to shy away from those kinds of get together's.

I admire you and the others that do it but it's difficult for me.

I completely understand Dick. It took me a few times playing to a steel player crowd to feel comfortable. If you ever change your mind let me know.
