Hi all,
I'm heading out to Australia late November / early December for 2 weeks with Billy Bragg and i'm trying to find out if any Australian Steel players would be up for renting their steel or, know of any good rental companies?
I'm specifically looking for a U-12 or, 10 string with E levers on the Right knee.
The TM out in Australia can get hold of a Sho~Bud but, the knee levers are on the Left knee which might get a little confusing.
My usual Steel is a U-12 Excel Superb which i love but, it would be easier for me to travel from the UK with as little as possible.
I'm also looking to find a Square Neck Dobro & Rickenbacker 330 for the tour.
Any info welcome. If it doesnt work out at least maybe see some of you at the show!!

Chris what part of Aussie will you be in ?? I can give you a few contacts of guys over there but you need to be specific on where your going to be playing ...

Hi Chris,
It was my Shobud, that your tour manage was looking at. The E levers are in the Left knee! |

Hey Benjamin!! It sounds like a beautiful steel from the spec the TM passed along. I just realised i messed up in my first post i mean Es on the Right leg (sorry was posting in a rush last night) .
I have a pro 1 here that i use sometimes and its great but, i set it up with the Es on the right leg. It might not really be a problem but, i was just concerned about jumping on to a gig straight away and messing up  |

Weds 5- Meeniyan - Town Hall
Thurs 6 - Castelmaine - Theatre Royal

| I could put the Es on the right leg without too much trouble. I’m actually a Day player and have put it into an Emmons set up for another player visiting in October. |

Any one out there who could help out with a rental Steel tomorrow ? I'm playing with Billy Bragg at Berry Fairgrounds Festival NSW. We have a Steel on the way but the courier has screwed things up a bit and it's still not arrived. Basicly trying to get a plan B in case it doesn't get here by the morning.
