Just watched this live Pop Goes the Country TV appearance and there is some great steel on Eastbound and Down.
Thought you may enjoy this. I don’t know who the player is. PF played with Jerry Reed but I can’t see the player well enough to identify. Maybe someone knows who this is?

Yes, that's Paul Franklin Jr. on the Franklin pedal steel guitar. I see Fred Newell on the banjo...didn't really try to id anyone else.
Hot Stuff. I'm guessing late 79, early 80's. Reed was a monster picker and had a tremendous sense of humor. |
