I'm sideguy (steel, Tele) on a couple of showcases around town 13th-14th during Americana Fest.
Haven't been to Nashville in almost 25 years.
Any recommendations on musical happenings, venues, stores, and the like?

check out Nashville Palace, Music City Bar & Grill, and John A's out near Opryland. they're all on the same block and usually have some great steel pickers.
there's a big steel show happening Sept 7-8, but you probably won't be in town yet.
you gotta hit Steel Guitars of Nashville too!
