We are on vacation in Naples, FL this week and today I had lunch with Roger. We last spoke in person at the 2004 Chattanooga show! We had a great time talking music and solving other social problems for a couple of hours.
Notice Roger's license plate. He said he thought that one up on his own and had it for a few years before John Hughey's famous Tennessee version.
It's really nice when we are able to meet up face to face with our Forum friends!

Bill - judging from the TV news this morning it would appear that our summit meeting has NOT solved any social crises.
It was, however, most enjoyable - thanks for taking some vacation time to get together. I did enjoy it!

Being strictly accurate, I can't say for certain that John didn't have his TN plate before I had this one. In fact, I first saw John's plate at the very Chattanooga show where I met Bill in 2004. I did, though, already have mine so I did get the idea on my own (even if it wasn't exactly a stroke of genius  ).
A State Trooper once stopped me late on a New Year's Eve. I suspect he was just trawling for miscreants on what must be a trying night for law enforcement. He did question the meaning of the tag and asked me if it had 'military connotations' or words to that effect. He glazed over a bit once I started to explain it.
I'm still waiting for a cop to say: "Shouldn't 'C6' read 'Fmaj9' to be strictly accurate?"

Well, Roger, as YOU know an F9 is also a type of freight locomotive.
And the Corvette sports car is unofficially identified by generation of development, with those between 2005 and 2013 known as the C-6. I know of at least one forumite who drives one.
So since you love railroads, and pedal steel, I think that provides all the justification you need to get yourself a nice snappy Corvette to put that license plate on!

There's logic there, Don, but I wish it was 'E6' - they're my all-time favourite diesel locos!
And a Corvette? Nah - the Lincoln is almost too near to the ground for me to enter with dignity. A Corvette is out of the question!
