We'll have a WTSGA meeting August 19 at the Lumberyard in Roscoe, Tx. Probably start about 1:30 PM. The Lumberyard is a fun place to play, they have some perty dang good food and drinks for sale. I'd like to see some new faces on the stage. Bring your guitar and play. It's also good spectator sport too. Good place to just talk steel also. Looking forward to seeing you. Pass this info along please.

I have to go to Utah on the 21st, that don’t give me much time to recoup after being around you for 4 hours or more. Maybe I can Emcee some.

Yep Ray those are all guys that have played at meetings past. A few more I can think of are Albert Talley, Joan Cox, Johnny Cox, Junior Knight, David Wright & Jim Loesberg. Not sure who will show up this time, but we may put up some of our members who haven’t played before. They all need to have that warm feeling of playing on stage with all those other Steel players watching. There’s nothing like it. LOL

Ray, you may be getting a defensive correction notice from Wally and Jeremy on the way you wrote that! Danny,, it really doesn't take very much to give me that "warm feeling". But, one way or the other,, I'll be there! Loaded or NOT!

Dennis Bailey from Ft Worth is planning to come play. Randall Palmore says he’ll prolly make it. I think we’ll have a full afternoon. If you want to play, come on , we’ll work you in. If we have extra time, Ray Jenkins is gonna play a Swinette solo.

Had a ball at the Lumberyard yesterday. Thanks Lumberyard. Thanks Chris, Todd, Bubba and Lyndall for the stellar backup band. Steel picking was by first myself & Rex Mayfield. Then Shady Mitchell & Larry Toliver. Then myself & Randall Palmore. They got a double torture of my playing somehow. Lots of good sreel and visiting. A Shobud, two Zums and an Infinity. Varied amplification setups. All sounded good. Be sure and attend the next one.

Oh yes, almost forgot, Ray Jenkins did some MCing but I think the West Texas heat was too much for the Arizona boy. Hope you felt better whe you got back to your security couch Ray.
