I think this is a late 40's Ace model guitar. Nice players guitar
There are some chips in the bakelite, no felt on the back, a few missing screws on the tuners due to stripped out threads. No case
This has a horseshoe pickup under the cover wound to 1.8K.
Email with any questions.

Hi Todd, Can you let me know if the output of this little Ricky is loud and clear ? I've read a lot about the horseshoe pickup ( on the forum ) being a monster ?? I have Supro student which sounds pretty good, would the Ricky be better ? Plus does it have a name on the headstock / Ace or Academy ? Are the tuners original and working or ??If I was interested I would need it shipped to NYC to arrive before Sept 7th would that be possible ?? Sorry for all the questions, Maybe you could send me some more photos ?.... I coming over to the USA to do two shows ( teching ) Thanks in advance. Best STUART |

Hi,
The out put is good on the steel.
The tuners are original, at least as far as I can tell. But the 4 of the plastic tuner buttons are newer.
No sign of the logo. I think these were a thin water slide decal, that has disintegrated over time.
What photos would you like to see ?
I have to ship a guitar early tomorrow. If shipped tomorrow that would get it to New York by the following Thursday. That would leave it to today to work out shipping and payment details if you decide you would like it.
It's a good guitar and well worth the $425 I am asking.
Here are some photos of the minor chips in the bakelite.

Thanks for info Todd. Its 6pm here in UK give me a couple of hours to think about it. The UK pound is at an all time low here so let me do the math !! I'm guessing shipping around $50-00. Will let you know either way later.Best STU |
