This is Fairytale with pretty cool steel on intro, turnaround at 2:50 and outro starting at 4:35, but there are steel fills throughout song. My guess is Weldon Myrick? Anyone know???

| Remember it well. Really nice tune. The versatile radio station WLRS here in Louisville played a wide range of music and we got to hear a lot of music with steel guitar like this one, also such as country rock etc. in the early '70's. It was this period and this exposure that gave me impetus to find a pedal steel and start learning to play. |

Richard sinkler posted that those girls did a great job backing Weldon. This is off topic but funny I think. In about 1970 Ralph Mooney was playing a sit down gig at a place in Dallas called Panther Hall Annex. The little band I was in had a Sunday afternoon gig there and Ralph had left his steel on stage. He happened to be there and the bartender said "Ralph you have to move your steel so these kids can set up" I introduced myself and asked him if he was the Ralph Mooney who played for Mere Haggard and Wynn Stewart and he replied "No, son, those guys sang for me."
