Someone just posted this never-before-seen footage of Speedy having an awful good time with his steel guitar.

yeabuddy! I always enjoyed Speedy's performances at the St. Louis convention. It was sad that he couldn't play after his stroke for the last several years of the convention.

The king of whistles, screams and bar hops. RIP Speedy West.

Thanks for posting this link Pete.

Wow what a player. Speedy had such a style. Always enjoyed his music. Met him in St. Louis at the ISGC with Scotty. He was doing MC duties at the convention and no longer able to play. Nice fella to talk with too. What a career. Speedy has no equal and likely never will.

Anybody notice the "transitional" Fender 1000?

Long scale, blond wood with a black frame!
