I received my MSA last Friday (or the one before). yesterday was the first opportunity I had to really crank it up (a little past 3 on my twin). I tried it with the 705 and the Telonics X10. For about 9 months, I've been playing a 50's model National Grand Console, with something similar to a P-90 in it, and was wondering if the Twin would be loud enough. All I can say is MAN! What a difference in volume! There will be no doubt in my mind that the Twin will be loud enough (and then some) now haha. I'm sure that this will be a stupid thought to most of you but, I had no idea.

The P-90 pickups, and most of the pickups on old non-pedal steels, were fairly low output designs. Modern pedal steel pickups put out several times as much voltage, giving you a lot more signal to the amp, and therefore more volume. Cool
