Just FYI, I have tried to get onto the Live Steel Strings website and get an error page that says "UNAVAILABLE". I wonder if they kept the business open after Sid passed away.

If I was playing all the time like I used to (I played my first gig in about 5 months last weekend), I would probably stay with the NYXL strings. But, right now, I am on a fixed income (as is my wife), and the price is a bit much for me.

I also can't speak of longevity, but the set on my Mullen goes flat every morning, sometimes by a fair amount. But we have been going through some really hot days. It could be the guitar though. Not a big deal. I stays in tune after I re-tune them.

Richard, Live Steel Strings is still in business being run by his daughter. Maybe just a temp website error.

It would be of benefit if Live Steel Strings had a description of the strings and their gauges, especially when offering "custom" gauges etc. Even a pic of the back of packaging would help. I didn't see a link to determine that.

AHA! Problem solved. Good to know they are still around.

Bob should change the link in the Links section.

When you click on a string set, you will see the gauges in the description.
