Hey,
Looking to maybe pickup a couple of Jeff Newman's "Woodshop Workshop" series tabs/audio series.
Any of you that have used them......what are your favorites?
Thanks!
- Jim
PS.....if you're selling.....hit me up! I'll still buy a couple others from Melissa, too. |

Another vote for "Pick Me Up On Your Way Down". Lots of cool licks you can incorporate.
Also, "Swingin' Doors" is good - but rather than Jeff's take on the song, it's an attempt to capture the original Mooney licks (and James Burton, since he covers the guitar parts as well). _________________ Bringing steel guitar to the bukid of Negros Oriental! |

It's all good, but a couple of my favorites are #33 Workin' Man Blues and #34 Good Hearted Woman.
There is some of the best pickin' by Jeff that I have ever heard. I can't even come close to this even with the tab and instruction. I think it's Workin' Man that's up and down and over the top. It's worth the price to me just for Jeff's picking alone. If you can learn this tune the way Jeff has it tabbed out, I can guarantee you, your friends and fellow musicians will be truly amazed.
I have several of his courses, but these two are top of the practice, listening pile, FWIW. |

I don't have all of them, but of those I like #48 Sweet Memories. Also #36 Don't touch Me. #22 Life Turned Her That Way and #38 Makin' Believe.
I expect they are all very worthwhile, but I don't want to recommend anything I haven't actually experienced. |

I received Swingin' Doors about two weeks and have working on it diligently since. I can now play the intro at a blazing 50% of Moon's speed. Great licks, but tough for me so far. _________________ Keep on truckin' |

Thanks, all. I went with:
Pick Me Up On Your Way Down
Good Hearted Woman
Workin' Man Blues
City Of New Orleans
Farewell Party
I've been in need of some inspiration, and if THIS doesn't do it, I don't know what will! |
