Finally joined the 21st century and got my first smart phone (RIP flip phone).
As with any new toy, I'm curious about what I can do with it.
Anyone know where I might find some good pedal steel and/or jazz ringtones? I'm not savvy enough to make my own, but then, I'm not Buddy Emmons.

Hi Daniel. Just ran across this and thought I'd reply. I make ringtones for my phone. Was wondering what you have in mind. Would need to know what type phone you have. I phones take an mp4 wav if that's what you have. You can also download an app for making you own ringtones as well. Let me know if I can help.

I have a Samsung S9 (Android) phone.
I haven't started installing apps; I was wondering how to take maybe the first 10 seconds or so of a piece (or another place in the tune) and have it become my ringtone.
If you can steer me to an app site (I also want to avoid costs or ads), I'd appreciate that.

Go to the play store and searh for ringtones. You will find lots of ringtones and apps to make your own from an mp3 file. You could clip out a section of a song (like a Buddy Emmons solo) and use it as a ringtone.

As I say, I'm new to smart phones; I am however aware of things that come with ads or with costs.
I'll start digging around.
