I'm brand new to the forum. Thanks for accepting me. I just got a Dunlop Hot Potz for an old Sho-Bud volume pedal, and I need to get the gear off of the Shaft. Is it possible, and how? Thanks in advance (hopefully)

Welcome to the forum, George! I love your movies!
The gear is held on by a snap clip. It can be removed fairly easily with some determination and a pair of needle nose pliers...then, the gear slides right off.
Best wishes on your pedal steel journey!

Thank you one and all. I too love Star Wars and would be perfectly happy to accept one penny on the other George Lucas' dollar. I was born first, by the way. Thank you Edward. I found the clip and am trying (so far fruitlessly) to do the job without a snap ring tool. Thanks again.

I have achieved success. Now, if I can reassemble everything successfully, I'll be playing crackle free once more.

George, I don’t know if this would help or not... I made this about 6 months ago... Good luck... Not a Sho~Bud pedal, but I’ve done many Sho~Bud pedals over the years and they’re pretty much the same process.

Thank you Dale. This part of the process I can do. The first 25 years of my adult life, I was a player and then health problems took it away. I'm just now getting back to the point I want to start woodshedding again. Don't know that I'll ever be on stage again, but I miss playing,

Haha! I didn’t figure you were the same “George Lucas”(as in the director)...but I didn’t want to take the chance? Here’s a thread I’ve saved to my favorites, just in case you’d like a still picture? https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=1775771&highlight=#1775771
Great job on your video there Dale!
