Hi all,
I've recently started touring playing pedal steel guitar with Dutch superstar Waylon and his band. We're doing almost 50 shows in the biggest clubs and festivals in The Netherlands and they are just about all sold out.
We're playing his latest CD (recorded in Nashville) and material from his previous albums with countryrock/pop songs but Waylon also loves to do quite a few good ol' traditional country songs during these shows.
Here's an example of "Together Again" (recorded on a mobile phone). I'm using a new Boss Katana 100 amp with a 12 inch speaker, although the whole band (including myself) are using in-ear systems so I'm not hearing the amp directly. Hope you like it!

Thanks, Danny! This steel guitar is a totally beat up first model ZumSteel Stage One model of 20 years old which has travelled many times halfway around the world with me (including Thailand) and it still works fine! |

Hahahah, Ricky! I am Dutch indeed and I understood your Dutch sentence perfectly fine, lol! Thanks for your compliment. From such an ace on pedal steel guitar like yourself, that means a lot to me!
We will be playing 4 shows in a row again this week starting next Thursday and the last one on Sunday is in a sold out Paradiso in Amsterdam. If memory serves me right, you've played there with Dale Watson in the past, correct? |

Dank je, Andr for being so kind with my attempt at my heritage language...eventhough none of our family speaks it....Dutch does run in our blood.
Yes you remember correctly; I did play the Paradiso with Dale; gosh, in like 1998?? But certainly been to Amsterdam and all over the Nederlands many times...I miss being there.
Stay with it my brother; you are a treat to listen to.
Doei.

Cheers, Ricky! It must have been at around the year 2000, I believe. I was actually there that evening and it was a great show with your killer pedal steel guitar playing. A big inspiration for me! Thanks again and Doei |
