HEY GUYS,

ANYBODY KNOW WHAT EFFECT LUKE SCHNEIDER IS USING ON THIS MARGO PRICE TUNE? SOUNDS LIKE A REVERSE PHASER EFFECT? REALLY LIKE THAT SOUND. MAYBE HE WILL ANSWER. I KNOW HE'S ON THE FORUM SOMETIMES BUT I THINK HE IS ON TOUR RIGHT NOW.

THANKS!

I'm hearing some distortion mixed in with an envelope filter (auto-wah). I have no idea what he's using, probably some multi-EFX unit. But I think I could come very close to that sound with my Mu-Tron and a little overdrive. In fact, I'd use something similar years ago when our band did the Hank Jr. song "A Country Boy Can Survive". It just fit the character of the song, and gave a sort of "harmonica moan" to the steel lines. Smile
