15" speakers
I have an Evans FET 500. Looking to replace the Sica BS 2.5 PL 4 ohm. Looking at Eminence Travis Toy or EPS 15C. Or? Any reviews or suggestions?

I put a Telonics 15” in my Nashville 400 and it was like Night and Day difference. The clarity is amazing, there are no “ice pick” highs and the bottom end is perfect! Very warm and full but tight and not boomy. I’m waiting on the Double T 15” to become available so I can try it in another Nashville 400 for comparison.

Hey Kevin. Thanks for considering my speaker. The Telonics speaker is actually made by Eminence, and is just a slight modification to the EPS platform. Same thing with the Quilter variant. My speaker is a completely new build from the ground up. All I can say is that my 15 sounds like what I’ve always wanted a 15 to sound like. It has the punch of a great 12” speaker, with all of the other intricacies that I like about 15s. Tyler Hall and Wayne Dahl have both been using prototypes of my speaker for a while now, with great success and satisfaction. Wayne put one in his 400, and we (myself, Wayne, Randy Beavers, Billy Easton, Mike Scaggs) were blown away by the difference it made. Hope this helps with your search. All the best.

Double T 15
Thanks for the reply Travis. Can't seem to find anyone who sells them yet?

Re: Double T 15
Hey Kevin. Yeah, any Eminence dealer (local store or online retailer) should be able to order one for you. They are probably gonna be a few days rolling out and showing in stock for online stores like Sweetwater, etc. I know for a fact that there is a pile of them sitting in the warehouse ready to go. There is also a bug currently on Eminence’s own ordering page for the speaker. That is typically the easiest place to order one. I’m trying to get that fixed today.Kevin Quick wrote:Thanks for the reply Travis. Can't seem to find anyone who sells them yet?

I tried the Telonics in my Evans SE200. Amazing clarity, like David said. I'd like to hear his or anyone's comparison between Telonics 15 and Double-T 15.David Graves wrote:I put a Telonics 15” in my Nashville 400 and it was like Night and Day difference. Travis Toy signature speakers
Hey guys! I'm here to attest to the Travis Toy signature speakers. I have one in each of my NV 112's and the 15 in my Nashville 400 and I love them! I just did my first session since installing the speakers with the infamous Don Meehan and fiddler David Varnado using one of the 112's and they were both blown away with the tone! If you don't know who Don Meehan is, I suggest you google him! I give both speakers
! Travis asked me to spread the word so here I am, spreading the word!
If anyone is wondering what steel I am playing, I play Rittenberry Prestige guitars. I'll see if I can sneak a sound byte here soon.

I highly recommend this speaker as it has been the mainstay for over 30 years and still going strong.
