b0b, are these units stout enough to take the weight of a Fender 400, cable-pull PSG?
TIA |
It had no problem with my Carter D-10. It's not flimsy.

b0b, how much to ship to Belgium ? Thanks ! |
USPS is quoting $64.30. If the shipping calculator on the web site doesn't work, just PayPal to steelguitarforum@gmail.com. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

Just received mine this morning. It works, but it is a very close fit on the Justice ProLite SD10 with the arm pad. |

How wide is the body of your Justice? Also what is the distance from the front of the neck (at the widest point near the changer) to the back of the pad?
Thanks |

Width of the body is 9 1/16
At the changer it is 8 1/2 |

Thanks for the quick response with those dimensions. I'm guessing your comment about a tight fit is based on having the convenience pockets exposed.
Please keep in mind this is a one size fits all (most?) stand...on wider guitars the pockets will become obscured and not usable. I've had a request for a wider base due to this, but I have no plans to produce one as I'm trying my best to keep the cost low and sustainability high.
The Gent (thanks John) who asked for the wider base also suggested that the cutouts on the rails be cut to allow more finger room. I'll make this change on the next batch. My personal stands do not have this feature as I access the strings at the changer end which is hanging off enough to do so.
Thanks to all who've purchased one for helping me support The Steel guitar Forum! |

I am not complaining about the stand, it is excellent, what I was trying to convey is on the Justice ProLite, there isn't very much material to fit the stand on. I don't get full contact on the support rails. The stand is excellent. |

We'd love to see pictures of various guitars on the workstand. My only experience so far is with the new Sierra S-10 and the Carter D-10. Please post pics here. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

Just set up my stand. which arrived while I was on vacation. Great product, but I think I see what Roy means, as my Super Pro also has very little surface along side the changer to hold up the steel. Here is a shot of that end of the Super Pro:
As compared to the Carter D-10 like Bob has:
Here's my Super Pro on the stand. As Roy mentioned with his Justice, there is not full contact with the support rail by the changer. Also, in order to make it stable, the moveable front panel has to be angled a bit, in order to get full contact at the keyhead end of the neck:
Still, great product, and I look forward to using it!

Roy emailed me this pic. It shows the workstand upside down. There isn't quite enough space between the pad on his SD-10 and the edge of the guitar's frame. The workstand supports are 9/16" thick.
I wonder if the support would fit between the neck and the pad for guitars like this.

Just put it on the pad. I've been doing that for years. You won't hurt it. |

Support between the necks should work fine, or on the pad as Memphislim suggests.
The supports were 9/16 thick on the first batch, but the second batch (those for sale now) and future stands all have 1/2" thick supports.
As long as the guitar is trapped between the front and back supports allowing little or no front to back movement catching the guitar on its edge as in Roy and Dan's pics should not cause any probs. |

I'll have a few of these work stands with me at the upcoming Portland Jam, stop by and nab one without shipping charges and save $15!
Of course, I'll also have a few new Sierras to check out as well. See you there! |

I've been using mine and it works great. Makes things quite a bit easier when I need to go under my steel. _________________ Bob |
