I have up for sale a rare and beautiful Bacon & Day Silver Bell conversion by Wyatt Fawley, serial # 15222. This instrument is a stunning example of Wyatt's artistry and craftsmanship, not to mention his reputation for building some of the finest banjos and necks for many professional players. He installed an adjustable truss rod which is accessed in the heel for neck adjustment so as not to compromise the hand-cut inlays in the head stock. The tailpiece is a Price Straightline, the neck has RR spikes on frets 7, 9, & 10, frets are in excellent condition, intonation and action are superb with a string height of 3/32" at the 12th. fret. This banjo is bright and powerful but can easily be adjusted for a darker/mellow sound and is capable of playing different styles. These Silver Bells also make great open-back banjos as you can see the flange is attached to the resonator and not the rim. There are additional photos showing some of the construction progress on my Banjo Hangout homepage. Price is $2700 which includes shipping in the continental U.S..

Thank you,

Marty

That's a really nice banjo. Wyatt's work is top notch, and the B&D banjos of that era are absolutely super.

Thank you David, Wyatt is one of the best neck builders out there, and it sounds as good as it looks!
