Tonight I saw a recent episode of The Voice in which Blake Shelton sang a duet with one of his contestants, who happened to be a drop-dead gorgeous super-model looking woman, but that's not the point I want to get to.
Blows my mind but the steel player got a 16 bar solo on camera though not a close-up so I couldn't clearly make out a face. Too young looking to be Russ Pahl, but he was wearing a snap-brim hat and playing an S-10 Legrande 2 or 3 in black. He was very good, indeed.
First question to Brett Day: Hey Brett, do ya know who this mystery steel player is?
Anyone else chime in, please. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

Thanks for the info and the link.
The kid's got his act together, but of course he would. He's from San Antonio. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.

Boy, does that ever make me feel old. Here's Russ, as I remember him:
