I have an old D10 shobud that was converted into an SD10 by a previous owner. I am a huge fan of the A6 tuning and would like to flip a second neck back on to this SD10. I am thinking of doing an 8 string A6 non pedal neck on the bottom neck.
Ive done some browsing but have not been able to find anyone selling shobud style 8 string parts. Do such parts exist? Anyone know where I could source? I have a neck block from the previous C6 neck. But would need the head and bridge parts. |

I suggest you just buy a lap steel key-head & bridge. I doubt you'll ever find an old Sho~Bud 8 string key-head that is not attached to a body.

Not an expert on this, but maybe you could just get a regular Sho-bud 10-string keyhead and have an 8-string roller nut made to fit. Any 8-string lap steel bridge will do, and you should be able to find something that looks decent with the bud design.
